Why can’t I figure this out?! - Educating, Involving, and Inspiring the Greater Community in Usability and User-Centered Design

VCR clocks, web sites, PDA's, assemble-it-yourself furniture – they’re all part of modern-day man’s daily struggle. How can we as usability professionals promote and inspire interest in usability and user-centered design, not only within the business community but also with the general public? Let's storm some brains! You're invited by UPA-MN to a social gathering and discussion on Thursday, January 11th.

Let’s begin the year with some ideas for actions leading up to World Usability Day 2007. As Elizabeth Rosenzweig wrote in her article for the Journal of Usability Studies, World Usability Day: A Challenge for Everyone, "Every citizen on our planet deserves the right to usable products and services. It is time we reframe our work and look at a bigger global picture."

Please join us!

Registration Deadline: Janary 9th, 2007, 5:00pm. Please register to attend by emailing rsvp@upamn.org.
