Axure RP lets designers, UX professionals, and business analysts create quick prototypes of all kinds of software user interfaces. Over the last decade it has evolved into a versatile design tool that helps software teams refine, communicate, and test interfaces in a fraction of the time it would take to code them.

This hands-on, full-day workshop will speed you on your journey to rapid prototyping bliss. We will cover

  • Laying out pages and forms
  • Formatting widgets and using images to refine your design
  • Creating reusable components using masters
  • Linking your pages together to create an interactive click-through prototype
  • Communicating your design using flow diagrams and site maps
  • Documenting your design with Axure’s configurable specification
  • A quick look at dynamic panels, Axure’s power tool for dynamic interactions

Audience

People of all proficiency levels will likely learn something from this workshop, but the day is geared toward people with little to no Axure experience.

What to Bring

  • A laptop running Axure RP Pro version 6.5. If you don’t have an Axure license, a free 30-day trial can be found at http://www.axure.com/download. Please install Axure before the day of the workshop as there will not be time for the instructor to help people with this.
  • A power supply for your laptop
  • We strongly suggest bringing a mouse, as using Axure involves a lot of both dragging and rightclicking. (We won’t make you use it, but at least then you’ll have it with you if you decide you want it.)
