Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide a community for local usability professionals and students to communicate, network, educate, and celebrate!
Who We Are
We are a professional group from mixed backgrounds who speak for the end-user. Some of us have formal education in human factors, computer science, and technical communication, and some of us came into usability from a completely different field. Many of us just have project experience and a strong sense of interest. Regardless, we always make an impact.
Learn More
If you like learning about user interaction and design or would like to share your experiences, come to a chapter event, join the UPA MN Chapter, or contact us. We will be happy to help you get connected or provide a place for you to sharpen your usability knowledge.
Chapter History
We originated in 1994, and were the first local UPA chapter to be officially chartered by the International UPA in September 1999. We’ve been growing steadily ever since, increasing in members, volunteers, and associations in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Today, we have nearly 70 members. For more information about UPA International, please visit the UPA International web site.
Events
We host monthly events that include presentations & case studies, panel discussions, and roundtables on current topics and trends in usability. Events also provide an opportunity to network with local peers and employers. These events are typically held on the second Thursday of the month.
Please see our listing of upcoming events. All are welcome to attend.
